Marion's PIazza

I'm not the biggest fan of a Dayton favorite, which automatically names me a transplant. However, on occasion, a Marion's Supercheese fits the bill perfectly. Oh yeah, and a pitcher of diet, of course - since Ryan doesn't like root beer ;)

TONY PACKOS.

On the corner of Front and Consaul, Tony Packo's is the mecca of Hungarian food, and holy goodness. We try several times a year to make it up to the Original location, in the East side, near "my bridge" on I-280.

Pictured above: chili and dumplings & their famous chili dawg.

A natual given at Packos, would be the PICKLES. Sweet hots are my fave, but I also will happily enjoy the original, sweet, pickles and peppers, etc.

Check 'em out today! http://www.tonypackos.com/

OH, and here's "my bridge" ... for the bazilionth time :)

sausage with garlic lentils

I made this lovely, lovely dish a few weeks ago... instead of adding the recommended garlic amounts - I added about 6 cloves. haha, good thing Ryan loves garlic too. I would definitely make this again, I loved it.

Holy Posting!

Wow. Okay - been a little hectic since I started this bloggy. But... here goes! Since today is my birthday, I will post all about the food surrounding such a **glorious** occasion. Hah.

First and foremost:

Strawberry Cupcakes with White Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting, garnished with fresh strawberries and shaved white chocolate.

Oh my Allah, as Sarah would say. The fresh berries really made these cupcakes - amazing. And to top it off, strawberry is my all-time fave flav! WTG Megan!

Next on the list.... the Raspberry Cheese Tarts my sister Ashley made me on Saturday.

Again with the OMA. These were honestly better than any cheesecake I have ever had. Ever. Vanilla Wafer on the bottom, and the cheese was so moist and creamy... delish!

Tonight we're off to Spinoza's for a beer pairing dinner - last time was 6 courses and 6 beers. I will make tonight's it's own post.

Thanks for all of the birthday love. I feel so incredibly loved and lucky. <3

Breakfast. Monday. Fire. Uggggg.

Kroger Marketplaces are the devil. And heaven. All in the same breath.

I have had a hankering for goat cheese for a few weeks now and I figured that Kroger would fufill those needs.... boy did it!

On sale, in the lovely Murray's case is was this cute little package of french goat cheese with honey. Instantly I began to salivate. Must. Have. - Done.

I made a lovely little concoction of items: pears (sauteed), honey goat cheese, fried egg, sea salt.... on toasted sourdough & garnished with poppy seeds :)

Bazinga. Delicious.
